Have you ever walked into a room and felt a complete sense of balance? That's kind of how we feel about Antonio Lopez Garcia's paintings. Garcia, now in his seventies, is a contemporary Spanish realist painter who is surprisingly unknown in the United States. The astonishingly talented artist combines a meticulous aptitude for rendering with an ability to capture the essence of a scene, invariably producing a perfect balance of light, color and form.

Modern designers constantly struggle with color, light and form, but the outcome can have just as satisfying an effect as a well-balanced master painting. In short, we can learn a lot from artists.
